Miami and Orlando are not the only cities with pro sports in Florida. Major league in Jacksonville is getting bigger and bigger each year.

Jaguars are Becoming a Fierce Competitor

B. Gabbert, Quarter Back, and Maurice JD, Running Back for the Jacksonville Jaguars, are the hopes for the new coach Mike Mularky, to bring success and victories to this young team. Despite winning only two games, the Jags have wish for the future thanks to a defense that finished as the 6th best overall in the NFL. If you still have to scratch the NFL itch, consider a visit to see the Dolphins and a stay in one of the top Miami resort hotels. Sports could be coarse, but enjoying them doesn't need to be.

Jacksonville Sharks Dominate in this Arena

The Arena Football League Jacksonville Sharks won the 2011 title behind an explosive offense led by quarterback Aaron Garcia. He tossed 118 touchdown passes and led the Sharks on a 13-game winning run. If you are hot for offense, it isn't getting any better than Sharks' football in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Baseball Heats Up

The Miami Marlins ' Class-A club calls Jacksonville home. The Marlins' minor league system is mythical for manufacturing some of the top talent in MLB. Names like Josh Beckett, Miguel Cabrera, Hanley Ramirez and Mike Stanton have all played baseball in Jacksonville at some specific point. The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, which opened in 2003, is a fantastic facility that gives fans the opportunity to see stars in the flesh. The open-air facility is listed as one of the top destinations in the country for a baseball pilgrimage.

Destroyers Build Love for Soccer in Jacksonville

Heading into just its 2nd year as a franchise, the FC Destroyers of Jacksonville are bringing a fondness for the stunning game to the town of Jacksonville. The team is looking to build on last season under new coach Eric Dutt's leadership. The booming popularity of the team has encouraged club official to bring another team to play soccer in Jacksonville. Later this year, the club will add a women's team to USL Women's League.

Jacksonville Rugby Expanding Its Reign

Jacksonville features the premiere squad in American Rugby. The Axeman are playoff contenders every season and won the championship in 2010. Powered by its on-field success, the team has worked to try and build the game in this country. The team has generated a smaller league that behaves as a developmental team for their squad. The league is composed of three groups, including one right here in Jacksonville, the Hatchets.

Jacksonville Giants Steadily Grow

The city also has an ABA professional basketball team in the Giants, a young franchise that commenced in 2010. In its primary season, the Giants ' style of play was worthy of their moniker as the team rolled to a 23-0 record. The team plays its home games at Jacksonville Veterans Commemorative Arena.

Jacksonville Hosts Pro Golfers

Often referred to as golf's fifth major, The Players Championship is a staple in Jacksonville. TPC Sawgrass is in a suburb of Jacksonville and plays host to the best golfers in the world for one weekend each May.

Lacrosse Is About to Hit Jacksonville in 2012

This year is turning out to be a season of new beginnings in Jacksonville as another team is ready to begin its franchise there in 2012. The North American Lacrosse League will be adding the Bullies in late Jan.

NY Major League Sports

You recognise Big Apple as a great destination for the wonderful arts entertainment and dining. Nevertheless there additionally are many exciting major league sports in New York. Baseball

Baseball in New York has a long and storied history. For fans searching for soccer in N. Y, their best choice is to check out the New York Red Bulls of the MLS. While the team carries the Long Island name, they really play their home games in Red Bull Arena, located in Northern New Jersey. For fans looking to catch some big league soccer action, Red Bull Arena is just a short distance away from New York.

Basketball

The top basketball scene in NY is targeted on the New York Knicks of the NBA. The Knicks also call Madison Square Garden home. While during the past the team has featured stars like Bill Bradley, Bernard King and Patrick Ewing, it has been some time since the Knicks competed for a championship. But the team has been improving recently, and the bunch at the Garden is virtually always loud and passionate about their hoops. The NY area also features the New Jersey Nets, who play their home games at the Prudential Center in nearby Newark, New Jersey. Nevertheless starting with the 2012-2013 NBA season, the Nets will relocate to Brooklyn and be retitled the Brooklyn Nets.

Football

Ultimately, for the football fan, the Long Island area features two NFL franchises with proud histories, the New York Giants and the NY Jets. The 2 groups share a home field in MetLife Stadium, located in East Ruuthrford, New Jersey. This unique arrangement ensures that there is an expert football game to catch on almost every fall weekend in the New York area. For those who like to plan in advance, be suggested that Super Bowl XLVIII is booked to be played in MetLife Stadium on February 2, 2014.
