But we want to be assured in this. So we want to ensure that it is the right length for us. That it is not too short. That it?s not too long. How can we select that? Well we wish to swing something as long as we will control. The longer the bat, physics tells us, with that very same bat speed maintained, the ball will go further.
So we would like to ensure that we have something that is long enough for us, yet we will be able to maintain bat speed. This is going to be determined based totally on your size, your age, your weight, what you can handle at the plate. This is going to be different for every one of you. Also, make sure you check before you go out and get one. These things can be expensive often. You would like to choose one that?s going to be alright with your league. Bats are changing a lot at the moment due to rules. There always trying to give protection to the children on the field.
So make sure you check the league rules before going out and make an investment in a bat as it will matter. And yes I did say the length and the size, does matter, and like I announced the colour can. Because if you look down at a bat and you are not assured, well you have got less chance to succeed? I played with a lot of colleagues that would only swing black bats. I liked the traditional colored bat. Sometimes I'd swing a black bat. Small side note. I have been told by referees, they have a heavier time seeing a black bat on a check swing. Just a little something for you to remember.
