Some Of The Best Baseball Stadiums In The World

By Francis Jordan

Going on a road trip to see new baseball stadiums is an awesome way for fans to travel and see their favorite sport in one stop. There are many stadiums that are blended into downtown areas and give fans the opportunity to see a game and then check out the city after the game is over. Over the last decade, this has become more and more popular.

There are a lot of clubs that designed their parks for this purpose. Fans of these teams tend to be pretty happy with this movement. The next time you plan on going to a game, think about where it is at and give time to check out the city after the game.

Take Coors Field in Denver as a good example. It is a popular and modern ball park that is in a beautiful part of the country. When the architects and planners developed the new park, the downtown area was in a slump. Now, the area is thriving with lots of shops and activities and has undergone a revitalization due to the stadium.

After the stadium opened up for business, the downtown area became a very popular stop for tourists as well as locals. The breweries in the neighborhood opened up pubs while stores and restaurants started to thrive. Not to mention that the most popular pedestrian mall in Denver is a short few blocks from the stadium.

On the west coast we find AT&T Park in San Francisco. This ball park is the home of the San Francisco Giants and has been since around 2000. This area of the city is a wonderful place with its variety of bars, restaurants, museums and of course shops.

Some of the other attractions include the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Ferry Building farmers market. If you have never been to the Ferry Building market before, it is worth checking out on your next visit. There, you can find a wide variety of local produce, meat and cheese that is organic.

The next time you are in Seattle Washington, check out Safeco Field. The park is located in Pioneer Square, one of Seattle's oldest neighborhoods. The Mariners have games next to the city's best architecture and parks.

If you do make a visit to see the Mariners play, feel free to walk around the neighborhood. Walking for just a few blocks around the area gives you an idea of the vibrant culture that this historic Seattle neighborhood has to offer.
