Easton XL2 BBCOR Perfect For High School and College Baseball

By Jeff Wise

Easton has created a new line of bats known as the Power Brigade that are meant to help with lighter swinging. One of these bats, called the Easton XL2 BBCOR is a -3 length to weight ratio bat and is two pieces. It is constructed of a composite handle and an alloy barrel and has been approved for the 2012 season.

With their new line of BBCOR bats (which include S1, S2, S3, XL1, XL2 and XL3), Easton's goal is to allow players to have ultimate performance. With speed and mass, players are sure to have more power.

The Easton XL2 BBCOR bat is meant for high school and college players. It is not allowed in Senior League or most travel leagues. If your league allows BBCOR bats then you're good to go. This bat won't let you forget that it's BBCOR since it's written on it in two spots.

This bat currently comes in four different sizes. The smallest is 31 inches and 28 ounces and each one progressively gets larger. The largest bat size is 34 inches and 31 ounces. Try holding and swinging a few sizes before deciding which one is best for you.

This bat has a lot of great features and you should know them before buying. It has Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT). It is made with an extra long IMX composite barrel and patented two-piece ConneXion technology. There's an expanded sweet spot and more durability thanks to the THT100 scandium alloy. It has a tapered handle, the barrel diameter is 2 5/8 inches and it comes with a 400-day warranty.

Performance is very important when it comes to selecting a bat, but appearance is also significant. This bat is very attractive with colors of white, black, silver and yellow. The barrel is black and white with a touch of silver. The handle is silver and the grip is black, yellow and white. The knob and the end cap are black and yellow and they have the Easton logo and the size of the bat.

Many reviewers have had great things to say about this bat. They say it is well balanced, sturdy, has good pop, great grip and a really large sweet spot. It was designed with an extra long barrel to allow for an expanded hitting zone. Therefore, more power is generated with each hit.

The only complaint about this bat is that it gets dirty easily and sometimes needs to be wiped off on a daily basis. Otherwise, those who have reviewed this bat have nothing but good things to say.

There is more information on Amazon.com about the Easton XL2 BBCOR. This is also where you will be the best rate and the bat size you need.
